Hiking to Champadevi will rejuvenate your soul, if you are thinking of escaping from the dusty Kathmandu for a day,. You got the choices to get up to hike start point Hattiban Resort or the entry point, you can hire a motorbike or taxi or private vehicle or even you can go by public transport. Upon reaching at entry point you can start hike right away or you can drive up to Hattiban Resort with private vehicle, this will take around 1 hour to get there from Kirtipur. The walking trail is well maintained with stone steps until you reach to top of Champadevi temple.
As you start to hike up, you will feel different; the sound of wind whispering through pine trees, peaceful environment, beautiful scenery of Kathmandu valley on the right side and green lush forest within. The prayer flags enchanted with mantra gives you more energy to ride up through the ridge. After 2 hours of hiking you will reach a point from where you can enjoy beautiful Langtang range including Ganesh Himal, Gaurishanker and many more. The view is astounding from the top of chamapdevi hill. Normally, this day hike will take up to 5 hours depending upon your walking pace.
