Safety & Security

If you are travelling to Nepal, please follow some general safety and security measure. Safety of tourists is the prime concern of our company and our motto is to mentally prepare to encounter whatsoever crisis or unexpected situation happens with you. Our suggestion and recommendation will help you to come out of such insurgencies. In case you encounter crisis or emergency situation we request you to contact and co-ordinate with tourism organization or other agencies (such as nearby health services, Police station, foreign embassies, consulate office, rescue associations, tourist information centre.

Measure for safety and security concerns in General

  • Please carry copies of valid passport, insurance papers with you and keep the originals in the safe deposit at your hotel.
  • Please keep your valuables items in safe deposit at hotel
  • Always use Government registered travel companies for your travel arrangements
  • For money exchange go with Government authorized/registered Money Exchange
  • In case of theft, loss, cheating, robbery, please contact the nearest police station or tourist police or contact at dial 100 or 103 for help
  • Highly recommend to use boiled water in rural areas or carry water purifier or drink sealed mineral water

For Trekking and Mountaineering:

  • Obtain TIMS (Trekkers Information Management System) Card before you start your trekking which is compulsory for each trekkers
  • Mountaineers and high-altitude trekkers, please get the information related to Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), frost bites to avoid the fatal consequences while trekking above 3000 m.
  • Please do not consume alcohol if you are trekking above 3000 m
  • Please go with approved route or follow guide instructions very carefully
  • Please do not trek alone
  • Do not introduce yourself with strangers unnecessarily
  • Drink enough water, keep your body warm and in case you feel you are suffered from altitude sickness either stay wherever you are or descend to lower altitude.
  • Highly recommend to carry First aid kit, raincoat, torch,
  • Please contact your local agency for emergency evacuation
  • Please consult with local agency in order to cover normal daily expenses during trek
  • If you are travelling to Terai region please carry mosquito repellent depending upon the hotel you have booked or consult with local agency

In case of Strikes:

  • Avoid lage crowds, groups or do not get involved/attached with protests
  • Use tourist transportation services (normally green plate) or shuttle bus service operating under the escorting of security forces
  • Please get updated with local agency or contact nearest police station

Tourist Police
Tourist Police is a specialized unit of Nepal Police started in 1979 under the Ministry of Culture Tourism and Civil Aviation with the motto to look after the welfare of tourist while they are in Nepal.
